About Bourque and Lemieux, 1600s to 2012
Please sign in to see more.
My ancestors came to Acadie (Bourque) and Quebec (Lemieux) in the 1600s. I have been researching for some time and have ancestors for Lemieux, Bourque, Simoneau, Landry, Roy, Adam. Most of these lines originated in France. Please feel free to contact me about any of these lines. It would be a pleasure to communicate with anyone who is interested. It would also please me should I be able to join a Metis Nation.

Many of my ancestors were metis and while many geneologists may deny this since there is no documention that I have been able to find. It is my belief that many metis were adopted and baptised with new names without any record of their ever being documented as mixed blood/metis. My great grandchildren (going on 15) are mostly mixed blood. They may not be American or Canadian Indian but I would wish them to know that being mixed blood is from my perspective...a blessing. For those of you interested in geneology, good luck in your searches. You may feel free to email me when you wish. Thank you all.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
